You already know that you could be selling your products online. But where do you start? More good news: You just did!
My name is Sam Nelley, Founder of Aspiring Digital. In short, I’ll make setting up your online store, and start selling online, easier for you. Here’s how.
Platforms to Sell Online
There’s a whole bunch of options when it comes to choosing a platform. They all claim to be easy to use. However, that’s not always true for everyone. And, not every platform suits every business! Some are great for selling fashion, others are fantastic for services.
Thanks to my experience, I’m familiar with a bunch of these platforms. So, I can help you choose one. I can also translate most of the jargon. It’s a much easier way to start your online shop.
Once a platform is chosen, we can look at making sure your site is “on brand”.
If you’ve already chosen a platform, take a look at our Shopify store improvement service! We cn easily translate this for most platforms.
There are many definitions of what a brand is. Usually, people think of a logo, but a brand is more than that. It’s not just a logo, or a catchphrase, or the images you use. It’s all that, and more!
This description is very famous: “A brand is what people say about your business when you’re not in the room”. It’s credited to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Your brand is extremely important, and if you’ve got a physical store location, your online store needs to be instantly recognisable as part of that brand. However, translating your physical brand to an online experience can be tricky. That’s because it requires different knowledge and skills.
For example, you probably already have branding assets. But they might not be ready to use online. We will work together to translate what you already have, or to create brand assets that will work online – and probably in your store too.
Once that’s ready to go, we can look to apply the branding to your products or services – a key part of selling online.
Products and Services: Imagery and Language
The imagery you use to display your products and/or services can be vital to the success of your online store. The same is often true when it comes to the descriptions.
You need to have your products and/or services looking great, and include descriptions that help sell them online. Whether you use video or images, it’s important they are recognisable as part of your brand. Creating these assets is time-consuming, and usually requires some writing and editing skills. It’s also an ongoing task for businesses that regularly add new items, services or offers.
That’s why we’ll work with you to ensure you’ll have a functioning process in place to create, update and/or maintain assets for your store.
Strategy, Tactics and Technical Knowledge
Many business owners have tried some sort of digital marketing activity. Without an overall strategic approach and tactical knowledge, results can be disappointing, underwhelming, or even confusing. Some people eventually figure it out, usually at some expense. Others just put it in the “too hard basket”.
I’ve used various digital marketing strategies and tactics to raise brand awareness, sell products, increase bookings, gather leads, promote events, and even hire people.
My expertise in this field will help your business start selling products and services online.
I’ll work with you to identify goals, and use my tactical and technical knowledge, and experience, to help you achieve those goals.
Getting In Touch
I know that time is precious for you. It is for me, too. That’s why I love video calls! Both parties are usually in a good space to talk without distraction. It also knocks out the travel time and expense. Seeing each other gives a better idea of who you’re dealing with. That’s really important because we’ll be talking about working together.
So, how do we set up a chat?
I’ll need you to fill in the form below, and send some information. You will only be asked for your name, the name of your business, an email address, and a brief outline of what you’re looking for. It could be as simple as “I need help starting an online store”.
I’ll reply via email with a few initial ideas on how I can help, along with an outline of my rates. I’ll also ask when you’re available to set up a video call.
It’s as simple as that!
One more thing: That moment I asked you to remember? Well, let’s compare that with where we are now:
I’ve introduced myself and lightly informed you of my knowledge. You’re aware of the service I’m offering. I’ve also shared a little about my values, and given a brief introduction to how I work. You’re now more comfortable about getting in touch. It’s a simple tactic of introducing and informing.
I look forward to talking with you!
